1956 Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst
Without a doubt, the most desirable student guitar Gibson ever produced. Gibson Les Paul Juniors have been a mainstay of rock & roll from the 1950's to the present day. This all mahogany 56' Junior has the great features. A big neck with a 1 11/16 nut of course, .980 inch depth at the first fret, and 1 inch depth at the 12th fret. The neck has a beautiful rosewood fret board with a very distinct grain pattern. All original electronics with side dated pots and a great single dog ear P-90 pickup. Original Kluson tuners with a slightly bent but fully functioning G tuner and the guitar weighs in at a comfortable 7.35 pounds. The guitar is in very good vintage condition and has the usual nicks & dings from honest players wear (the good ones usually do). Full size stud grommets have been installed and the guitar is set up and ready to go. It comes with a newer hardshell case. A nice light weight Single Cut Les Paul Junior. HSC $11,995

1960 Gibson Melody Maker D Sunburst
Here is an example of one of the Rarest and Most Sought after Melody Makers. The King of Melody Makers you might say. You ask why? Well the Double Pickup Melody Maker was introduced in 1960. During the first couple of runs of of the model they were still made with 59 features including the short lived and desirable 2 Fat Single Coil Pickups. Right after these first few runs, Gibson introduced a smaller less ear pleasing Melody Maker pickup and went to the slim 1960 neck profile. Features of this instrument include a Sunburst Finish, Large 59 style Neck Profile, Gold Bonnet Knobs, and Nickel Wrap Around Tailpiece. These pickups sound great and are truly better than the later narrow design that would became the standard. The guitar is in Very Good Plus Vintage Condition with some dings, finish checking, and belt buckle wear. A flexible ground wire was installed and one replacement position marker dot, otherwise original. The pickups are Out of Phase from the Factory so you can get an extra tonal variation in the middle position. Included is an aftermarket hardshell case. A great find for the Golden Age Gibson collector and player. HSC $6500
